Clinton Caused Korean Crisis

If David Keene's column (“Making the best of a bad nuclear hand, The Washington Times, 8/15/17) on North Korea was analogous to a play, it would focus on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern while disregarding the story's lead, Hamlet. Indeed, the mysterious figure central to today's Asian travesty—and wholly unmentioned—is Bill Clinton, circa 1994. Recall some 23 years ago, Slick Willie entered into a $4 billion agreement for U.S. aid to Kim Jong Il's regime. The stated goal then was to “end to the threat of nuclear proliferation on the Korean Peninsula.” Given the threat now presented by Kim Jong-un: whoops!

Isn't it important to mention the person most directly responsible for getting America into this international quagmire?

Instead, Mr. Keene focuses on trivial players: Democratic National Committee Deputy Chairman and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, and Susan Rice, President Obama’s national security adviser and U.N. ambassador. For his part, Mr. Ellison is the former co-chair of the Progressive Caucus. For context, at a town hall meeting in Jensen Beach, FL, ex-congressman Allen West said on April 10, 2012:

“I believe about 78 to 81 House Democrats are members of the Communist Party. It’s called the Congressional Progressive Caucus.”

Given Ellison's murky background—whom Mr. Keene pegs as a fool—why quote him? Likewise, speaking of untrustworthy Democratic mouthpieces, is Susan Rice. Remember Benghazi and “Sunday Susan's” multiple claims that the consulate attack was the result of an internet video. Why waste time on those with zero credibility, as she, while letting another politician surnamed Clinton go scot-free?

Libs Immune to Yiannopoulos Fate

Obi-Wan: “Your father... was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. He ceased to be the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and 'became' Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So, what I told you was true... from a certain point of view.”
Luke: “A certain point of view?”
Obi-Wan: “Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.” – Star Wars: Episode VI - “Return of the Jedi” (1983)

In modern America, with the ongoing libertine influence of Howard Stern and Jerry Springer types, very few necessary taboos remain. One that does is pedophilia. Another related prohibition is pederasty: relations between two males when one is a minor. Unfortunately, gay provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos “went there” back on January 4, 2016. The interview was little-known, but the rabidly anti-right MSM has legitimately hoisted him by his own petard with it. The site of his disgrace was the satirical left-leaning Drunken Peasants Podcast with Ben and TJ (“The Amazing Atheist”). Oh, Milo's mistake of flapping gums and wrongheaded sentiments!

Of late, he's learned the price for speaking out against the perfectly reasonable age-of-consent laws. No doubt disgusted, the organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) withdrew his invitation to speak. Also last Monday, his book publisher Simon & Schuster abruptly axed his ironically named autobiography “Dangerous”. Likewise, Tuesday, he resigned from his two-year gig as senior editor for Breitbart News. A domino effect of negative consequences undeterred by his hollow claim of “being misunderstood”.

Don't bother parsing the meaning of Yiannopoulos's wacky statements too closely. This Slick Willie scenario echoes Bill Clinton's nonsensical: “It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is”. In each case, the optics are bad and the message ill-conceived. Yet, the downfall is swift and total only for the conservative. To compare with a contemporary example, has Madonna's career suffered one whit for publicly proclaiming her anarchist desire to “blow up the White House”? Indeed, her lawless call for violence and sedition is certainly on par with his salacious disregard of the laws that protect children. Why do only liberals get a pass for every outrageous thing they say?

Given Yiannopoulos's foot-in-mouth plight, the Material Girl's song lyrics for “Words” (1992) are apropos:

Words, they cut like a knife, cut into my life
I don't want to hear your words
They always attack, please take them all back
If they're yours I don't want anymore

“Witchy” Clinton “spells” Cohen

“Over the years I have detected wee imperfections in Clinton... [b]ut she is a colossus of integrity and wisdom compared with Trump. He [rightfully] calls her “Crooked Hillary,” [and] she has been ... found, if not completely innocent, then not guilty. The GOP ought to give it a rest.” — From “Clinton survives another Salem trial” by The Washington Post's Richard Cohen

Hillary Clinton Kool-Aid drinker Richard Cohen got only one thing right: the witch part. Missus Slick Willie has literally been mired in corruption and scandal since her late 20s—and hypocritical scribbler Cohen now cheerleads 40 years of Clintons getting away with everything? Is this the same award-winning reporter who co-wrote 1974's “A Heartbeat Away: The Investigation and Resignation of Spiro T. Agnew”: an expose of a corrupt vice president? Unlike Hillary, at least scandal-prone Agnew was already in office before being rightfully driven from it. Assuming that Mr. Cohen isn't simply addled, how is it that he pillared the Republican in his youth, but now champions the Democrat (clearly guilty of far worse wrongdoing) in his advanced age?

“Colossus of integrity and wisdom?” and “If not completely innocent, then not guilty?” Seriously? Loony bins are full of such parsing people who peddle such laughable, patently false delusions. Mr. Cohen desperately needs an intervention, and a cocktail of strong psychotropic medications forthwith.

In any case, it's not Republicans who need to rest. (Some would rightfully assert they already have for the last almost 8 years of Barack Obama's ultra-Constitutional overreach, and abject lawlessness). The rest needed here is solely Richard Cohen's.
